In 2024, Clipper Tea, a leading UK tea brand with limited brick and mortar distribution in the U.S., needed to leverage social media to help increase consumer awareness, build credibility with retailers and drive clicks to its Amazon storefront. In the second half of 2024, after more retail availability was secured at Albertsons banners and Sprouts stores across the country, the brand needed to drive in-store velocity. Clipper Tea tasked SchroderHaus with reaching and engaging with more U.S. consumers to continue to build brand awareness and purchase consideration, first online and then in-store as retail availability was established.
Armed with an in-depth analysis conducted by SchroderHaus of current competitors’ social channels, overall social media trends and Instagram algorithm changes, our team developed a thorough paid and organic annual social media strategy that included a mix of Reels and graphic posts, images and giveaways to increase awareness, engagements and clicks. The strategy also included scrappy tactics like updating existing assets and leveraging assets from the UK social team. To help drive incremental awareness and engagement, SchroderHaus coordinated long-term partnerships with micro-influencers who aligned with Clipper Tea’s aesthetic, mission and tone. All social and influencer content was developed to fit Clipper Tea’s colorful and joyful style and feature its commitments to natural, fair and delicious tea. Once retail availability was secured, posts touted where consumers could find Clipper in-store. Content also incorporated Clipper Tea’s international campaign titled, ‘Clipper. There’s Tea. Then There’s GOOD TEA.” encouraging consumers to evaluate their current tea brand and make the swap to Clipper.
